What Is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
What are the goals of MOPS?

  • to celebrate motherhood,
  • to meet the needs of mothers of preschool age children,
  • to help mothers make connections, and
  • to help mothers experience God’s love through relationships and resources.

Why MOPS? Because mothering matters and so do YOU!

MOPS at Alpha Baptist Church

If you are the mother of a preschool age child (expectant through kindergarten), you are invited to join MOPS at Alpha Baptist Church in Willingboro, New Jersey. This local MOPS group offers area mothers an opportunity to connect, grow, learn and find support in a warm and caring atmosphere. MOPS meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 7:00 - 9:00 in the church Fellowship Hall from September to May. At every MOPS meeting you’ll enjoy refreshments, giveaways, small group discussions, crafts, and guest speakers who will address topics important to mothers of young children.

MOPS 2008-2009: Adventures in Mothering

The 2007-2008 year of MOPS has ended, but we’ll start meeting again in September 2008. We hope you join us in September as we explore the new theme: Adventures in Mothering. This theme equips moms to learn more about themselves as we journey through the  daily adventures of motherhood. We’ll celebrate and embrace the fun in these experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches us emotionally and spiritually.

Mark your calendars now! The Fall semester of MOPS is coming. Join us on September 8 and September 22.
